Wheel and tire sizes are important to know when buying new tires or wheels for your vehicle. Here’s some information about wheel and tire sizes:
Wheel size
The total size of the wheel, including the rim and tire. Wheel size also includes the wheel’s width and offset, which determines how the wheel and tire align with the wheel well.

Rim size
The size of the metal rim that the tire is mounted onto.
Tire markings
Tire sizes include several markings that indicate important information, such as:
Aspect ratio: The distance between the wheel and the edge of the tire, expressed as a percentage of the tire’s width.
Speed rating: A letter that indicates the maximum speed the tire can handle while carrying its maximum load.
Load rating: A code that indicates the maximum load a single tire can carry.
